Abstract

The first generation of FIA techniques, Flow Injection (FI), is still the most extensively utilized today since the sample zone is injected into a flowing carrier stream of reagent. As the injected zone moves downstream, the sample solution disperses into the reagent, and a product forms at the point where the sample and reagent zones meet.
