This article covers the theoretical and practical aspects of identifying and developing individual abilities of students in the educational process. The possibilities of developing their creative and intellectual potential by taking into account the personal capabilities, interests and learning styles of each student are analyzed. The individual approach of the teacher, diagnostic methods, differential approach, and person-oriented educational technologies are also discussed. The article considers mechanisms for identifying, motivating, and supporting student abilities using modern methodological approaches.
