Preservation Of The Historical, Architectural, And Urban Heritage Of The Shakhrisabz Oasis Of The Timurid Period

Abstract

The Historic Centre of Shakhrisabz, one of the most significant urban centers of the Timurid period in Central Asia, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000 due to its Outstanding Universal Value (OUV). However, extensive urban redevelopment implemented during the 2010s substantially altered the historical urban fabric, resulting in concerns regarding the authenticity and integrity of the property and its subsequent inclusion on the List of World Heritage in Danger.
