This article examines the theoretical foundations of human competence, its role and significance in management and vocational education systems. Competence is considered one of the key factors in preparing competitive specialists under the conditions of modern labor market requirements. The article analyzes the essence of professional, managerial, communicative, and digital competencies, as well as their impact on individual and organizational performance. Special attention is paid to the formation of studentsʻ competencies in vocational education, the development of practical skills, and the integration of educational processes with employersʻ requirements. Based on the analysis, practical recommendations are proposed for improving the process of developing competencies among future specialists
