Abstract

The key issue of this current study is related to heritage buildings, highlighting the significance of reuse and upgrading their historical buildings through applications of smart technologies to enhance the efficiency of historical buildings. This aims to draw attention to their cultural and historical values and promote cultural awareness among future generations. Additionally, to achieve the maximum use and saving energy as Challenges facing the world in general and Egypt in particular. As Egypt contains many heritage buildings that must be preserved due to their cultural, civilizational, and historical value, which is a national wealth, treasure and an important economic resource for Egypt. The paper aims to establish a comprehensive vision and strategy for the development of heritage buildings using smart architecture tools and mechanisms. It emphasizes the importance and concept of smart architecture in achieving economic and environmental efficiency, as well as increasing energy efficiency in heritage buildings. The paper also discusses methods of reducing non-renewable energy consumption through adaptive technology compatible with smart architecture.
